Changing the look of your home, whether you just moved in somewhere new or have lived in your house for years, is as easy as changing its color or putting a fresh coat of paint on the exterior. Since 1974, Castino Painting and Home Services has provided high quality, professional exterior painting and home improvement services to Skokie residents, as well as homeowners across Chicagoland and the North Shore.
Choosing the Best Exterior Home Paint Colors
Painting the outside of your home can feel like a big undertaking, particularly because everyone will see it—the pressure is on to pick the perfect colors. Whether you aren’t sure where to start or have a few ideas in mind, the professional consultants at Castino Painting and Home Services are ready to help. We use a computer program that shows our customers an accurate representation of what certain colors will look like on their house, so you’ll be able to see what a project will look like before we even start. Typically, when painting the exterior of a house, people will choose two or three colors. The first is the body, or all-over, color. The second color is for the trim, and is usually a few shades darker or lighter than the body color. If there is a third color, it is used for accents, such as the door and shutters.
A Commitment to Design and Customer Satisfaction
At Castino Painting and Home Services, we are dedicated to making sure our customers are 100% satisfied with the work we do. That means that from initial design, to virtual paint simulation, to project execution, we work hard to ensure everything is to your specifications. We provide high quality, professional exterior house painting and home improvement services to residents in Skokie’s 60076 and 60077 zip codes and throughout Chicagoland, and you can be confident in the work we do.

A message about lead paint and the new EPA Mandate
A new EPA mandated Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) program went into effect on 4/22/10 and was updated on 7/1/10. This program is designed to protect against lead-based paint hazards associated with renovation, repair and painting. This program mandates that contractors working in homes and child-occupied facilities built before 1978 be trained and certified in lead-safe work practices. Castino has been “lead certified” and we are following all EPA rules and regulations. Our Certification Number is NAT-19937-1. As of 7/1/10, homeowners cannot opt out of this mandate. Castino has the right to refuse any job dealing with lead paint. Non-compliance carries a $32,500 fine for contractors. Please call us with any questions or concerns.
