Whether you just moved into a new home or you want to update the look of the place you’ve lived in for years, interior painting is one of the easiest ways to change how a house feels. At Castino Painting and Home Services, we’ve offered professional painting services to Lake Forest homeowners and residents all over Chicago and the North Shore since 1974.
Painting the interior of a home doesn’t have to be stressful. If you are worried you’ll pick colors you won’t like once they’re on the walls, you’ll love Castino Painting and Home Services. Here, we offer our customers the option to virtually paint their home using a computer program and pictures of the rooms in their home. This way, people can visualize what certain colors will look like before committing to them.
You’ll want to keep in mind that colors can have a big effect on a room’s atmosphere. For instance:
- Cool colors are best for bedrooms and offices, as they tend to foster relaxation and concentration.
- Warm colors are best for rooms where people will gather and mingle, such as the family room or kitchen, because they create inviting, active, happy rooms.
- Dark colors should be used with care, as they can make rooms appear much smaller. Think of doing an accent wall or the trim, but perhaps not the entire room, in a dark color.
- Light colors open up a room and make it look bigger, so if you have small rooms in your home, they are perfect.
At Castino Painting and Home Services, we will work with you from start to finish, from choosing the paint colors to having professional painters complete the job, and our goal is 100% customer satisfaction. If you have questions about painting services or any other home improvement in Lake Forest, feel free to contact us at any time. We also serve homeowners in many other North Shore communities, as well as residents all over Chicago.
A message about lead paint and the new EPA Mandate
This notice is to advise our customers of the new EPA mandated Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) program. The program went into effect on 4/22/10 and was updated on 7/1/10. The purpose of the program is to protect against lead-based paint hazards associated with renovation, repair and painting. There is a mandate that contractors working in homes and child-occupied facilities built before 1978 be trained and certified in lead-safe work practices. We want you to know that Castino has been “lead certified” and we follow all EPA rules and regulations. Our Certification Number is NAT-19937-1. As of 7/1/10, homeowners cannot opt out of this mandate and non-compliance carries a $32,500 fine for contractors. Castino has the right to refuse any job dealing with lead paint. Please call us with any questions or concerns.
